Thousands Will See Your Work Online and You Can Win A Trip to Orlando, Florida
As part of our 60th Anniversary Kidney Art Festival, NKF is conducting a National Art Contest. We hope you can join us!
We invite everyone in the kidney community–patients, transplant recipients, organ donors, family members, the professional health care community, volunteers, supporters and friends–to participate.
Just submit a printable piece of art that represents one of these three statements before January 31st, 2010:
- What living with kidney disease means to me.
- What receiving a transplant means to me.
- What donating a kidney means to me.
All entries will be entered into one of three categories, as appropriate–Digital Design, Hand Drawn, or Photography.
Entries will be posted on the NKF Kidney Art Festival website. Winning entries will be used to further awareness of the importance of kidney health, early detection and organ donation on NKF printed and electronic materials and made available for sale in various forms to the kidney community.
A panel of judges will review all submissions and select six semi-finalists from each of the three categories. The art chosen as semi-finalists will be posted on the website and all visitors to the site can vote for their favorite in each category.
The winner will be publically announced and recognized in April 2010. The Grand Prize winner will receive a three night trip for two to Orlando, FL from April 15 to April 18, including airfare, hotel accommodations, and a $500 debit card (estimated retail value $1,500 - $2,500). The first prize winners in the three categories (the second place vote getter in the category of the Grand Prize Winner and the top vote getters in the other two categories) will receive a $100 debit card (estimated retail value $100). And all semi finalists will receive a $50 shopping spree on the NKF Online Store (estimated retail value $100). All contestants who comply with all rules will receive a National Kidney Foundation "Love Your Kidneys" Drawsting Bag at the conclusion of the contest.
