In honor of our 60th anniversary, the NKF launched a nationwide art contest, and we hope you can join us! We invite everyone in the kidney community—patients, transplant recipients, organ donors, family members, the professional health care community, volunteers, supporters and friends—to participate. All entries will be entered into one of three categories, as appropriate—Digital Design, Hand Drawn, or Photography. The artist of the Grand Prize winner will win a trip for two to Orlando. The flu season is upon us. There are many steps you can take to help protect yourself from being inflicted with the virus. Simple things such as covering your mouth when you sneeze or cough and washing your hands frequently will help slow the spread of the flu. But the most effective method of prevention is by getting vaccinated with the flu shot.
