For over 60 years, the National Kidney Foundation, a major voluntary health organization, has been responsible for major scientific, legislative, social and technical progress in the treatment and prevention of kidney disease, including dialysis and transplantation.

With offices nationwide, the NKF provides early detection screenings and conducts extensive public and professional education, advocates for patients through legislative action, promotes organ donation and supports kidney research to identify new treatments.

Due to the interdisciplinary nature of NKF, which is engaged in all aspects of Chronic Kidney Disease, members receive a range of services and support not available through any other nephrology organization. NKF addresses the interests and needs of patients, Nephrologists, Physician Assistants, Nurse Practitioners, Nephrology Nurses and Technicians, Renal Dietitians and Nephrology Social Workers.
