Target Audience:
Physician assistants and nurse practitioners in the field of nephrology.

Course Description:
This course will focus on topics and case studies to enhance of patient-centered care, using evidence-based practice in the areas of pharmacology, correlating lab findings with disease states and metabolic derangements, anemia, and bone-mineral disease. An afternoon break-out session will consist of two tracks: acute and dialysis. The acute track will focus on the management of acute kidney injury, and chronic kidney disease. The dialysis track will highlight the latest advances in dialysis and transplantation, and the AP’s role in patient management.
