Target Audience:

  • Nephrology social workers who are new to the sub-specialty
  • Experienced nephrology social workers who would like to review basic skills
  • Candidates for Nephrology Social Worker Certification (NSW-C)

Course Description:
This course doubles as an overview of the knowledge and expertise necessary for the experienced to obtain Nephrology Social Worker Certification (NSW-C).

Course Objectives:
Upon completion of this course, participants will be able to:

  • Identify the main duties and responsibilities of Nephrology Social Work in a fast-paced, time constrained and culturally diverse treatment setting
  • Apply the main duties and responsibilities of Nephrology Social Work in an organized, effective and efficient manner that is compliant with the CMS Conditions for Coverage
  • Integrate the competencies for Nephrology Social Work certification into daily practice.
