The National Kidney Foundation was selected as a winner in the 10th annual National Health Information Awards. This program recognizes the nation’s best consumer health information programs and materials. Early Detection of Chronic Kidney Disease received a Gold Award for the “Best of Show” category.
“We were delighted to participate in the National Health Information Awards Programs and were honored to be selected as a winner,” said John Davis, CEO. “Our winning entry was among the nearly 1,100 entries judged by a national panel of health information experts.”
The awards program is coordinated by the Health Information Resource Center, a national clearinghouse for consumer health information programs and materials. The Center, which houses a large collection of such public and private sector materials, promotes the distribution of accurate, timely consumer health information materials to professionals and managers in the field.
The National Kidney Foundation is a major voluntary health organization dedicated to preventing kidney and urinary disease, improving the lives of individuals and families affected by these diseases and increasing availability of all organs for transplantation.
