The National Kidney Foundation (NKF) is again accepting grant proposals to support research in the area of primary nocturnal enuresis. The Enuresis Research Grant, sponsored in part by Aventis Pasteur Pharmaceuticals, was created to stimulate research to contribute to the understanding and cure of this condition. This past year, two applicants received a grant award for the research they will be conducting during 2003-2004:
To apply for this grant, applicants must have at least two years of experience as an allied healthcare professional, Ph.D. or M.D. in the areas of pediatrics, pediatric urology, pediatric nephrology, child psychology, behavioral medicine, neurology or continence nursing. The grant may be used toward basic, clinical, epidemiological or behavioral research. The typical grant is $12,500 but up to $35,000 may be awarded.
