Hans-Henrik Parving, MD, DMSc of Gentofte, Denmark, was named the 2004 Shaul G. Massry Distinguished Lecturer. He will present at the National Kidney Foundation (NKF) 2004 Clinical Meetings on April 29, 2004 in Chicago, Illinois, United States. Dr. Parving is Professor and Chief Physician from Steno Diabetes Center.
The Shaul G. Massry Distinguished Lectureship recognizes scientific achievement and contributions to the kidney health care community in the tradition of Dr. Shaul Massry. Dr. Parving’s lecture is entitled “Protecting Diabetic Kidneys – A 25 Year Perspective.”
More than 2,000 kidney care professionals including physicians, nurses, technicians, social workers and dietitians plan to attend the NKF Clinical Meetings. The meeting offers educational symposia, courses and hands-on workshops highlighting the range of chronic kidney disease, from early identification and treatment throughout the progression of kidney disease and transplantation.
