The National Kidney Foundation (NKF) announced the election of Juha Kokko, MD, to its Board of Directors.
Dr. Kokko is Professor Emeritus at Emory University. He was previously Chairman of Medicine at Emory University School of Medicine and Associate Dean of Clinical Research. A recipient of the Berliner Award from the American Physiology Society and past president of the American Society of Nephrology (ASN), he is a noted kidney disease expert.
The National Kidney Foundation is dedicated to preventing kidney and urinary tract diseases, improving the health and well being of individuals and families affected by these diseases, and increasing the availability of all organs for transplantation.
