This is a great time of year to enjoy your turkey, but not if it's sitting in the garage. Turkey, lemon, clunker, headache--whatever you call that old car of yours, this Thanksgiving may also be a good time to get rid of an unsightly leftover.
You can save your energy for holiday eating while you donate that gas-guzzler of yours to the National Kidney Foundation Kidney Cars Program. The money raised will help put meat on programs in research, patient services, organ donation and public education.
Ready for seconds? Donating your used car, truck, van or boat is a lot easier than preparing a feast for a busload of friends or family. And when you're done, you might have some stuffing you can really enjoy - like a tax-deduction for your wallet.
In fact, eighty-four (84%) percent of Americans who donated vehicles to the National Kidney Foundation's Kidney Cars Program last year itemized their tax returns and were able to reap a charitable deduction for their contribution. So you could be saving lives and saving money.
All you need to do is call 1-800-488-CARS (2277) or CLICK HERE and you’ll get a packet, with a self-addressed envelope so you can mail back the signed title and odometer statement. Once you return the completed packet, the Foundation will contact you to arrange for a free pick-up. Vehicles are sold either at auction or for parts, with 67% of the proceeds supporting the work of the National Kidney Foundation. Talk about getting good mileage.
