The National Kidney Foundation (NKF) announced the election of Bryant Stith to its Board of Directors.
Currently, Stith is on the Board of Trustees for St. Paul's College and is the Executive Director and Founder of S.C.O.R.E. (Setting Children on the Road to Empowerment) Inc. During his eight-year tenure with the Nuggets, he served as the team's captain, the spokesman for the NBA Write Stuff English Challenge and the NBA spokesman for Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., Day. Bryant also played one season with the Boston Celtics, and finished his career in the NBA with the Cleveland Cavaliers. He looks forward to working with the NKF to raise awareness about the importance of early detection for kidney disease, especially in minority populations.
The National Kidney Foundation is dedicated to preventing kidney and urinary tract diseases, improving the health and well being of individuals and families affected by these diseases, and increasing the availability of all organs for transplantation.
