After a hospitalization for acute kidney failure and diagnosis of lupus nephritis, the host of America's Got Talent is finding his place in front of the cameras once again--this time to document his road to recovery. Nick Cannon hasn’t let his condition get the best of him and he recently announced the launch of a new documentary style web series, “NCredible Health Hustle”, which shares his inspiring story.
Cannon is taking care of his kidneys and working with the National Kidney Foundation to spread a positive message of prevention and healthy lifestyle.
Cannon is hopeful that sharing his life-changing journey will help others to make the necessary changes in their own lives to maintain a healthy balance of their careers, family and most important – their mind, spirit and body.
“I never thought anything could slow me down, but sometimes life throws you curve balls and you have to adjust,” Cannon said.
Capturing everything from the moment he had to make the difficult decision to step down from his job of hosting his daily NY radio morning show, “Rollin’ w/Nick Cannon” to working with world renowned medical, health, diet and fitness experts, traveling throughout the country to host America’s Got Talent, running his successful multi-media empire NCredible Entertainment to making time for his family – nothing in his life has been off limits to the cameras.
“I credit my success today with my ability to maintain a busy, multi-tasking schedule for so many years but I also credit the lack of rest that I allowed my body to have in order to keep up - along with unhealthy eating habits to my kidney problems,” says Cannon. “Having discovered the problem early on, I was able to undergo immediate and aggressive medical treatment and through the support of my loving family I’m now on a successful road to recovery.”
“NCredible Health Hustle” can be found on the official Nick Cannon website www.NickCannon.com. A new episode will air each week on the same date/time though the summer.
