5K Race for Organ, Eye &Tissue Donation Awareness

Join us at your own pace, in the name of donation at the 5K Race for Organ, Eye & Tissue Donation Awareness, a road race for transplant recipients, family members, friends, transplant professionals, living donors, donor families and the local community. There is a separate registration and fee for Games’ non–athletes and members of the public who wish to participate in this event.

Start: Capitol Square - Start at corner of Pinckney and East Washington
Finish: Alliant Energy Center - Finish on Quann-Olin Parkway just north of entrance to the upper north parking lot

All registrants (non-transplant athletes) will receive a commemorative T-shirt while supplies last. Awards will be given to the top three male and female finishers in each age group and overall. Public age categories: 13 & Under, 14–17, 18–29, 30–39, 40–49, 50–59, 60–69, 70+

Parking
All Games participants are strongly encouraged to ride the Games shuttles to Monona Terrace (and then walk to the Capitol Square for the start of the race). Non-Games participants are strongly encouraged to park in the South parking lot (behind Exhibition Hall at the Alliant Energy Center) and take the Games shuttle to Monona Terrace for the start of the race. Parking is $6.00.

Timing
This event will be scored by Lakeshore Athletic Services using the ChampionChip Timing System. The course is certified by USATF. Runners will be issued a rental computer chip, which is attached to the shoe lace and worn throughout the race. Special mats at the finish will record a finishing time for each chip. All rental chips must be returned at the finish line. There is a $35 fee for each lost chip.
