Patient Comments Needed

Members of the U.S. Congress are always looking for ways to improve the Medicare program that helps pay for dialysis and transplantation, and, at the same time, control its cost. Legislators have held two hearings on ESRD in the last seven months: December 6, 2006, and June 26, 2007. During the June 26th hearing, "Ensuring Kidney Patients Receive Safe and Appropriate Anemia Management Care," some Members of Congress questioned whether delivering anemia medicines by injection (rather than using the dialysis tubing) would provide similar health outcomes at less expense. The NKF would like to let law makers know what people on dialysis think about such a proposal. If you would like your thoughts on this proposal included with those of our other patients, please take a few minutes to complete this survey. All responses will be kept confidential.
