Health Care Professionals -
Choose the NKF Membership Option That’s Right For You

For nearly 60 years, the National Kidney Foundation, a major voluntary health organization, has been responsible for major scientific, legislative, social and technical progress in the treatment and prevention of kidney disease, including dialysis and transplantation.

Through its affiliates and divisions nationwide, the NKF sponsors patient and professional education programs, scientific research, organ donor programs and publishes a wide selection of patient and public education materials.

Because of the multidisciplinary nature of NKF, which is engaged in all aspects of chronic kidney disease, members receive multiple services and support not available in any other nephrology organization. Members keep abreast of important issues and challenges, develop skills and grow professionally by taking part in continuing education programs, have a voice in legislative and public policy issues that affect kidney care. Members also benefit from many networking opportunities that are valuable to career advancement and have the opportunity to collaborate with colleagues in other disciplines and with NKF professional staff in areas of mutual interest.
