KDOQI Advisory Board
The KDOQI Advisory Board is chaired by the KDOQI Co-Chairs and reports to the NKF Board of Directors as a means to provide the necessary outside oversight of the entire KDOQI initiative from experts in appropriate disciplines. The Advisory Board is the highest volunteer leadership body of the KDOQI initiative.
The Advisory Board consists of approximately 40 individuals who are appointed for their own expertise, qualifications and willingness to assume responsibility for the work involved.
Membership of the Advisory Board consists of patients, professionals from disciplines such as nephrology, cardiology, hypertension, diabetes, transplantation, epidemiology, primary care, family practice, pediatrics and gerontology; statisticians and ethicists; experts in health care delivery and managed care; representatives of government and individuals from outside the United States. These experts provide new broader perspectives to KDOQI.
