NKF's KDOQI leadership welcomes the announcement by KDIGO of their plans to convene an international work group to review existing clinical practice guidelines and recommendations for treatment of anemia in patients with CKD. The evidence based process used by KDIGO for this anemia update will provide a rigorous assessment of recent studies in anemia and their implications for the management of this condition in patients across the CKD spectrum, including pre-dialysis, dialysis and renal transplant patients.
