| Rules: | Tournament will be governed by World Tenpin Bowling Association rules (http://www.wtba.org.my/main.htm), except as modified herein. | |
| Format: | Athletes will compete in a three-game series to determine the top five individuals in each age group. The top five individuals will then compete in a single-game elimination tournament, stepladder format, to determine the medalists. Children ten and under will use gutter pads. |

| Format: | Teams of two persons from each Games team will compete in a three-game series to determine the top three teams in men’s and women’s divisions. Mixed doubles will compete in the men's division. Due to the limited number of possible entries, each team will be allowed two automatic entries. Additional teams will be allotted based on overall team size. |
