Olympic track star Carl Lewis' interest in organ donation was sparked 12 years ago when a close friend received a liver transplant. Since then, he has been speaking out on behalf of the cause. Carl participated in the very first Transplant Games held in 1990 and again in 2000, helping celebrate a decade of the U.S. Transplant Games. According to Carl, "transplant athletes are truly winners in the game of life." Carl has participated in opening ceremonies, medals presentations and track clinics.
