My son, Charlie, is the love of my life and the strongest man I know. Charlie has a congenital disorder affecting both kidneys called bilateral hydronephrosis. When I was pregnant, blood vessels formed blockages around Charlie's ureters, causing urine to backup into his kidneys. His condition progressed to severe before he was even born.
