In 2009, the National Kidney Foundation of Central New York held TWO Kidney Golf Classics. The first, the Northern NY Annual Kidney Golf Classic, was held on Friday, June 26th at the spectacular Thousand Islands Country Club in Wellesley Island, NY. Members of the winning foursome include Mike Steele, Ken Barrett, Mark Erlebacher, & Ken Green. The second place members are: Brent Sweet, Garry Greene, Dave Hirst, & Dave Taylor.
The Annual Central NY Kidney Golf Classic was held on Monday, June 29th, at the magnificent Bellevue Country Club in Syracuse, NY. Members of the winning foursome include Anthony Sgroi, Dan Michel, Jr., Dave Wood & Chris Welch. The second place members are the Anaren Team: George Blanton, Tim Ross, Gert Yhygensen, & Samir Tozin. The first and second place winning foursome will have the opportunity to travel to Pebble Beach, California, in January 2010. At Pebble Beach, they will compete in the NKF’s National Tournament enjoying rounds of golf at three prestigious Pebble Beach Golf Courses.

Golfers who competed in the Golf Classic helped raise $75,000 to support the programs and services offered by the National Kidney Foundation of Central NY, which services 13 Central New York Counties.
