Casual For Kidneys Day School Challenge
We are so excited to introduce Casual For Kidneys: School Challenge: a new program to help raise awareness for Kidney Disease in local schools!
Here’s how it works: Local high school and middle school students compete vigorously against each other. But there is more than school pride at stake—they are raising money to help fight kidney disease and increase awareness about organ donation. From coin wars to pretzel sales and a dress-down day, students can do as little or as much as they like to raise money for the National Kidney Foundation and earn themselves a day to dress casually to reward them for their efforts.
This project also has a strong educational impact. A large part of our mission involves public education. With your permission, we will spend time speaking to participating schools health or science classes about Chronic Kidney Disease and organ transplantation. Students will hear from transplant recipients and donor families about their struggles and triumphs, and dispel any misconceptions about organ donation.
Casual for Kidneys is great for schools because it promotes education, school spirit and community service. This project offers your school the opportunity to give something worthwhile back to their community and have FUN doing it.
We can’t wait for you to take on our “Challenge”! Good Luck!
