On Sunday, November 11, NKF hosted the 9th Annual People Like Us Patient Conference presented by Astellas with additional funding from Amgen and Fresenius Medical Care and 13 exhibitors.

People Like Us is a free half-day conference that provides an uplifting educational experience that encourages and empowers dialysis patients and their family members to live healthy and active lives.

After enjoying a renal-friendly lunch, Washington Redskins player, Reed Doughty, father of a kidney patient, shared his personal experience with dialysis.
