NKF/NCA Speakers Bureau / Patient Advocates
The NKF/NCA Speakers Bureau is a voluntary force of advocates helping to spread the word about kidney health, disease prevention, organ donation, and transplantation. Members include medical professionals, kidney patients, family members, living donors, and active NKF/NCA volunteers. Whether addressing a large group or providing one-on-one counseling, these individuals share their personal experience and passion for the cause. Venues include:
- NKF community events & fundraisers
- Civic groups
- Legislative receptions
- United Way/CFC/CHC Charity Designation Events
- School health courses
- Churches & community centers
- Corporate “lunch & learn” events
- Media interviews
- One-on-one counseling with patients and living donors
