Camp Independence

Sunday, July 29 - Friday, August 3, 2012
Camp Twin Lakes, Rutledge, GA

In 2012, the NKF has partnered with Children's Healthcare of Atlanta to host Camp Independence, a week-long summer camp experience for children and adolescents, ages 8 to 18, who have been diagnosed with kidney disease, are on dialysis, or have received a life-saving organ transplant.

At Camp Independence, every child's possibilities are endless. From team-building activities to individual support, this camp has something for everyone. With the support of a full medical staff, parents can rest assured that their child will be in good hands. Our licensed medical professionals provide around-the-clock, on-site medical care for the entire week of camp.

Made possible through the generous support of private foundations, corporations and individuals, Camp Independence gives every child the chance to experience camp, build friendships and make memories to last a lifetime.
