Job Title: Program Manager Intern

Summary:

Responsible for assisting the NKF Serving North Texas with its marketing and communication efforts in promoting the NKF’s 2010 U.S. Transplant Games. For more information on the Games, please click here.

Prinicipal Duties:

  1. Work with both Program and Development teams to manage communication with local participants. Manage database, letters, making phone calls. Will play pivotal role in coordinating team activities.
  2. Will play pivotal role in coordinating team activities.
  3. Research potential in-kind / funding sources.
  4. Perform additional activities as may be assigned.

Qualifications:

College Student with related major. Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing. Competent typing/computer skills. Ability to work as a part of a team. Experience with project management and fundraising a plus.

Hours:

Flexible. (12 to 16 hours per week unless specified otherwise by University requirements / advisor.)

This is an unpaid internship with transportation reimbursement.

Job Title: Development Intern/Special Events

Summary:

Responsible for assisting the NKF Serving North Texas with its marketing, communication, and special events efforts.

Principal Duties:

  1. Work with Development team to coordinate special fund raising events. Managing database, letters, making phone calls. Will play pivotal role in managing our Kidney Walks.
  2. Assist with the marketing / advertising/ planning efforts for the Foundation’s events, including, the Kidney Walk, Golf Classic, Children’s Holiday Party.
  3. Research potential in-kind / funding sources.
  4. Perform additional activities as may be assigned.

Qualifications:

College Student with related major. Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing. Competent typing/computer skills. Ability to work as a part of a team. Experience with event planning and fundraising a plus.
