KEEP is a free kidney health screening program designed to raise awareness about kidney disease among high risk individuals and provide free testing and educational information, so that kidney disease and its complications can be prevented or delayed.

The Gift of Life Gala

The 2009 Gift of Life Gala will also celebrate the 45th anniversary of transplantation in Texas. In November 1964, Dr. Paul Peters performed the first kidney transplant in the state of Texas at Parkland Hospital. The pioneering work of Dr. Peters and his transplant team paved the way for years of life-saving work in this critical field.
