Kidney Camp
Mark your calendars for Saturday and Sunday September 11th and 12th!
This is a National Kidney Foundation Serving Maine tradition held annually at the YMCA camp in Winthrop. Spaces are limited so please call and register because pre-registration is required. Registration includes all meals and an overnight stay in the YMCA’s comfortable cabins. There will be lots to do with Bingo, arts and crafts, horseshoes, swimming and canoeing, daily workshops and don’t forget the traditional campfire! Bring the kids and have a ball at kidney camp this year.

Each year, professionals from around the country gather at Dunegrass Golf Club in Old Orchard Beach to support NKFM’s mission. Money raised provides hope to thousands of kidney patients in Maine through patient assistance grants, education, research and the promotion of organ and tissue donation. 2010 marks the 26th anniversary of this NAIFA-sponsored event.

The U.S. Transplant Games is a four-day athletic competition among recipients of organ transplants. Competition in the U.S. Transplant Games is open to anyone who has received a lifesaving solid organ transplant--heart, liver, kidney, lung, and pancreas. Bone marrow recipients are also eligible to participate. As much as the Games are an athletic event that calls attention to the success of organ and tissue transplantation, it is also a celebration of life among recipients, their families and friends. ![]()
Kidney Early Evaluation Program (KEEP)
KEEP is a free kidney health screening program designed to raise awareness about kidney disease among high risk individuals and provide free testing and educational information, so that kidney disease and its complications can be prevented or delayed. ![]()
