World Kidney Day: Go Casual For Kidneys

World Kidney Day (WKD) is a global health awareness campaign focusing on the importance of kidneys celebrated on the second Thursday in March each year. On Thursday, March 11, 2010 you can join thousands of people at businesses and schools throughout Upstate NY dressing casually to support the NKF on WKD. Nationally, the NKF leads countless activities on WKD designed to build awareness of the disease, educate those at risk about the importance of early detection and the critical role the kidneys play in maintaining overall health. more info

Kidney Early Evaluation Program (KEEP)

KEEP is a free kidney health screening program designed to raise awareness about kidney disease among high risk individuals and provide free testing and educational information, so that kidney disease and its complications can be prevented or delayed. more info

NKF Golf Classic

The NKF Golf Classic is the nation's premier amateur golf event for charity. Each year thousands of golfers from across the country participate for the exciting competition, valuable gifts, and the chance to win great prizes, all to benefit a worthy cause. U.S. Transplant Games

The U.S. Transplant Games is a four-day athletic competition among recipients of organ transplants. Competition in the U.S. Transplant Games is open to anyone who has received a lifesaving solid organ transplant--heart, liver, kidney, lung, and pancreas. Bone marrow recipients are also eligible to participate. As much as the Games is an athletic event that calls attention to the success of organ and tissue transplantation, it is also a celebration of life among recipients, their families and friends. more info

The NKF's Kidney Walk presents an occasion for dialysis patients, organ transplant recipients, donor families, living donors, the medical communities, and the general public to celebrate LIFE and support the Foundation's mission. more info
