Joplin Ride for Life
Family friendly, volunteer driven event. Ranges from 350 to 500 adult and child riders. This ride has been in existence for over 30 years. It is well planned and executed by committee members who are experienced in trail riding events and experienced riders themselves. Most of them have participated in this ride for many years. The terrain for the ride includes rolling hills and wooded areas. There is a shallow creek and some light brush covered areas. The trails are suitable for most riders, from beginner to advanced. No highways or major roadways of any kind or railroad tracks are crossed at any time during the rides. Riders are asked to carry a halter and lead rope on the trail, and they are instructed on proper trail courtesies with respect to one another and the animals. The Joplin Ride for Life will be held in September 2010.
