An educational class designed to help patients and families living with CKD cope with the health and lifestyle changes that are part of the condition. Taught by health care professionals, this class provides tools and resources to help better understand the disease, the changes and challenges your body is experiencing and the ways in which you can take control of a disease that may be currently controlling your life. NKF Urban Renal Support Group

The NKF Urban Renal Support Group is an Urban-based support group, committed to providing quality education to dialysis/renal transplant clients. It is our endeavor to provide education, peer counseling and social activities in a safe and dignified atmosphere for spouses/partners and family members. The NKF Urban Renal Support Group will be a strong advocate of promoting organ donation. more info

Emergency Financial Assistance

Emergency Financial Assistance is available to those who have problems financially through the difficult time that they may be having through all of their medical difficulties.

In order to receive this assistance you must contact your social worker and work with that said social worker on a form that they have. When finished should be sent to National Kidney Foundation. If approved a patient can receive up to $100 in financial assistance.
