- Medical Identification Jewelry
For over 20 years, the National Kidney Foundation has provided medical identification jewelry free of charge to patients in the Washington, DC metropolitan area. These individuals depend on the jewelry to speak for them in an emergency when they are unable to communicate their specific health needs. This is especially vital for the high number of dialysis patients who also suffer from diabetes. - Patient Emergency Fund
The NKF Patient Emergency Fund distributes financial assistance to cover a variety of patient needs from health expenses to transportation. This fund provides much needed temporary relief to patients who find themselves struggling with the cost of day-to-day living.
