Volunteer Opportunities
Patients and family members often ask how they can repay NKF Serving Maine for financial assistance during a time of need. The very best way to repay NKF Serving Maine is to volunteer your time so that you can be a part of helping other patients and families in Maine like you.
Friends, family members, and anyone who has been touched by kidney disease and would like to get involved, please take a look at our volunteer opportunities.
Office Help, Program and Patient Services
If you would like to add your name to a general list for volunteer services, you can email Jaime Hanks. Make sure that you let us know the town that you live in, and we will add your name to a list. Please indicate in your email if you are interested in helping out in our Portland office, or if you would like to participate in one of our programs. If you would like to help with office work, we will add your name to a list will contact you to schedule a time for you to come in the office.
When we have a program in your area scheduled, we will contact you and ask if you are available and if you would like to participate in some way. Most likely we will be asking you to participate in a KEEP screening and you would help with registration. The KEEP screenings are a lot of fun, and it's a nice way to meet some of the most dedicated professionals in the Kidney community.
Please email Jolene Bussiere if you would like to volunteer for any of the following:
Technical volunteers:
- Taking blood pressure and weight
