'Charity Malls' and Online Services

Many different services are available online now with the purpose of assisting nonprofit organizations. Most function like a shopping mall, offering the ability to shop through their site, and taking a percentage of the sale price of an online-purchased item and returning it to the nonprofit. Others simply offer services like free email, or for-charge interent connectivity, and give some set dollar amount (typically) to the nonprofit each time ther service is used. Planned Giving

The National Kidney Foundation Serving East Tennessee's Planned Giving Program is designed to help you perpetuate The Heritage Club your support of lifesaving efforts in the fight against kidney and urinary diseases. Through your long-lasting gift to the National Kidney Foundation, you will ultimately help eradicate diseases which now affect more than 20 million Americans. You may plan your gift through a will, retirement plan, real estate, trust or securities. Your planned gift entitles you to membership in the National Kidney Foundation's Heritage Club. Speaker's Bureau

The Speaker's Bureau is a group of trained volunteers who speak to various type of groups about kidney disease and organ transplantation. The groups spoken to include civic organizations, school classroom grades 1 through 12, businesses, neighborhood groups, or any other group! The Speaker's Bureau's mission statement includes the following three objectives:

The purpose of the Speaker's Bureau is to educate East Tennesseans about the functions of the kidneys, the warning signs of kidney disease and the prevention and treatment of kidney disease, thereby reducing the incidence of kidney failure in our area,
to educate and encourage others to participate and promote organ and tissue donation, and
to increase awareness of the programs offered by the NKF Serving East Tennessee.

Who Benefits

Children, Teens and Adults Who Suffer from Kidney and Urinary Tract Diseases

The National Kidney Foundation strives to fulfill its mission by providing patient and family services, funding research, supporting health care education and promoting prevention and public education. The NKF also stands strong in its commitment to increase the availability of all organs for transplantation. Proceeds from Kidney Cars are used to support the many programs in this community so your unwanted vehicle becomes a life-saving machine HERE -- in Tennessee.

How it Works

To donate your vehicle, the first step is to either fill out our online Donation Form (the easiest way), or simply contact us to let us know of your intentions. You can visit our Contact Page to find several ways to contact us. The second step is to either bring or send your vehicle's and/or title to us (if you fill out our online Donation Form, we will be contacting you!). If you are willing to take your vehicle to one of our locations we will send you a $25.00 gas card as a thank you. Or, if you would prefer us to tow your vehicle free of charge we will be happy to once we receive your title.
