Donate a Vehicle to Charity and Fight Kidney Disease
Each day, the Kidney Cars program receives over 100 vehicles in our program. More than 26 million Americans have chronic kidney disease and another 73 million Americans are at risk. Our vehicle donations program is one of the oldest and also one of the largest charity vehicle donation programs in the country.
Kidney Cars has been in operation and receiving donations since 1983. During that time over 650,000 people have provided their cars, trucks, or boats to the National Kidney Foundation's vehicle donation program and helped save countless lives. Our donation program allows you to help fight kidney disease, and know you've made the difference to someone's life. Vehicles given are tax deductible. Please consult your tax advisor.
So what happens when you give us vehicles?
If you participate in our vehicle program you help over 90,000 people
waiting for a kidney transplant. Your donation will help fund public health and professional education for kidney disease. Your dollars also go toward providing vital patient and community services, organ donation programs and medical
research to prevent kidney disease in the future.
Your Car Donation has Helped Millions
Every year thousands of Americans involve themselves in donations and charitable giving to the National Kidney Foundation's Kidney Cars Program. Since our car donation program began a quarter of a century ago in 1983, we've raised over $600 million, all thanks to your generosity. This money has made the difference to countless people and has stopped kidney disease in its tracks, allowing for the onset of the disease to be significantly slowed. By donating a car you are helping improve the quality of life of numerous millions of people with kidney disease, or those who have to care for a person with kidney disease. Of course, your vehicle donation also aids the 90,000 people currently awaiting transplants. Your car donation also helps fund legislative advocacy that ensures our patients and their caregivers receive the highest quality of care.
