Getting There

You have several options when traveling to the Games. Minneapolis is accessible from all parts of the United States via trains, planes and automobiles. Sea Gate Travel (800-645-3392; Outside U.S. 516-333-8600) has negotiated special fares for Games attendees with all the major carriers. Call Monday through Friday 9:00 am - 5:30 pm (Eastern Time). Ask for the Group Department and identify yourself as a 2004 U.S. Transplant Games participant!

  • By PlaneMinneapolis-St. Paul International Airport (MSP) is about 20 minutes away from the University of Minnesota Campus. The airport is serviced by most major carriers and is a hub for Northwest Airlines. Visit the Official Games Web site for information on ground transfers between the airport and your accommodations.

  • By Train — The Minneapolis–St. Paul Amtrak station (MSP) is less than four miles from the U of M campus at 730 Transfer Road, St. Paul.
  • By Bus– The Greyhound station nearest to the University is just 3 miles away at 950 Hawthorne Ave, Mpls. A second station is an estimated 7 miles away in nearby St. Paul at 166 University Ave W.
  • By Car– Destination information, including driving directions, is accessible from the Greater Minneapolis Convention and Visitors’ Bureau Web site at www.minneapolis.org.
