Games Screen Saver
Our screen saver is available for users of Windows 95/98/ME/NT/2000/XP and for Mac OSX systems. Please select the appropriate link from the menu below to download the file. It will be easier if you print the instructions before starting the download process.
Installation for Windows PC users
To use the Windows ZIP file:
1. Click the NationalKidneyFoundation_screensaver.zip link at the top of this page.
2. In the File Download window, select Save this file to disk and click OK.
3. Select the location you wish to save the file (your Desktop is fine) and click Save.
4. Locate the NationalKidneyFoundation_screensaver.zip file and double click it to launch your expander program. ( Note: If you do not have WinZIP, Stuffit Expander, or similar expander program, you will not be able to open the file.)
5. Follow the on-screen instructions for your expander software.
6. Double click the NationalKidneyFoundation_screensaver.exe file and then click Install.
7. The installation will open your Display Properties window with the new screen saver pre-selected.
8. Click OK and enjoy!
Installation for Mac OSX users
1. Click the KidneySaverOSX.dmg.zip link at the top of this page. This will place the file on your desktop. (Note: If you do not have WinZIP, Stuffit Expander, or similar expander program, you will not be able to open the file).
2. Double click the file to expand if does not automatically expand.
3. Open the folder called KidneySaverOSX.dmg Folder and double click the file called KidneySaverOSX.dmg. This will open a window that shows the installer file called NationalKidneyFoundation.
4. Double click the installer file to install the screensaver.
5. The installation will open your Screen Effects control panel with the new screen saver pre-selected.
6. Select your preferences and enjoy!
Tips for using the Screen Saver
1. Use the Display Settings control panel for PCs to adjust the preferences for the timing of your screen saver.
2. Use the Screen Effects control panel in the System Preferences for Macs to adjust the preferences for the timing of your screen saver.
3. To stop playing the screen saver press any key or move your mouse.
Uninstalling
Uninstalling from Windows Computers
1. Click the Start on the task bar.
2. Move the mouse pointer to Settings, and then click on Control Panel.
3. Select the screen saver you want to delete.
4. Click Add/Remove.
5. Restart your computer.
Uninstalling from Macintosh Computers
Open the Screen Effects Control Panel
Click the Configure button for the NationalKidneyFoundation screensaver.
Click the Delete button
Restart your computer and empty the trash.
