I cut the Quilt Square from one of Carla's tee shirts with two bright pink flamingos dramatically against a black background.. She collected flamingos, an exotic pink flamboyant bird, but beside the fact that she collected them, she was a flamboyant person and the nature of the flamingo was a perfect description of her. I am very thankful that two people can now see a flamingo, it's brilliant pink color and lavishly exotic actions that represent the fullest exhibition of life. One very special person, my daughter Carla, gave that sight to two very special people. For a mother and sisters, what a great legacy.
