As I wrote Michelle, my youngest child's, name on the quilt square, I thought about how she would always and forever be my child. She is a part of me as much as before when in the flesh. She is now a part of others as she gave of herself even in her death of this earth. This makes her and God very proud too, as she always lived to give , and give she did, to her fullest always.
As I drew the cloud beneath her name that bears her birth date, August 24th 1984, and the day she went to heaven, November 5th 1993, I thought of how she is in the heavens, within the paradise that none of us here yet know. The stars I drew represent her telling me to look for the brightest star if she were to go before me, that she would be looking down and smiling on me from heaven. The colors in the calico print material represent her favorites: greens, teals, and blue with lavender hints, which represented her favorite colors. Her eyes were once described as having the dance of life in them and they were beautifully green. I also think the calico print denotes happiness and cheeriness, which represent her disposition.
I will forever love my baby daughter, Michelle Marie Greever, and one day I will proudly join her in heaven!
