This guide provides families of organ and tissue donors a forum in which to ask questions and learn from one another's experiences. If you would like to discuss an issue that you do not see here, we encourage you to email us your questions. NDFC members and staff will answer your request privately via email or, with your permission, post it online anonymously. For questions on living donation, please visit www.livingdonors.org.
This guide is divided into two sections:
Grief and Healing: Suggestions for tackling common situations and issues families face after the death of a loved one.
Donation and Transplantation: Information about the donation and transplantation processes, organ allocation, becoming a donor, religious views on donation and more. It is our sincere hope that this guide will serve as a helpful resource for you and your family and we welcome your suggestions.
