Berkley French, MSW, APSW
Berkley French, LMSW, APSW, is currently a social worker at Fresenius Medical Care in Madison, Wisconsin, where she provides psychosocial support to dialysis patients and their families. She graduated from the University of Michigan with a Bachelor of Psychology in 2016, and a Master of Social Work in 2018. She held internships at Gilda's Club Metro Detroit where she facilitated support groups for those impacted by cancer, as well as University of Michigan-C.S. Mott Children's Hospital where she worked with the kidney transplant, liver transplant, and nephrology departments. After her internships, she worked as a clinical social worker at University of Michigan-C.S Mott Children's Hospital where she provided care to a diverse patient population in inpatient, outpatient, and emergency settings.
Her passion is working with dialysis and transplant patients to help reduce the unique barriers, such as food insecurity, faced by this population. She recently implemented a program with a local food pantry to provide renal-friendly food to dialysis patients.
