The National Kidney Foundation (NKF) is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME), an accredited provider by the American Nurses Credentialing Center's (ANCC) Commission on Accreditation*, an accredited provider by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) and an accredited provider by the Association for Social Work Boards (ASWB) to provide continuing education to physicians, nurses/dialysis technicians, dietitians and social workers respectively. In addition, individual activities are approved on an activity specific basis for family physicians, advanced practitioners (nurse practitioners and physician assistants), pharmacists, certified case managers, certified rehabilitation counselors, and other specialties.

Vaccination schedules and hepatitis serologies can be challenging to interpret. This activity will improve the learners understanding of recommended immunizations, and viral hepatitis screening tests for hemodialysis patients. Pneumococcal and hepatitis B vaccine recommendations; hepatitis C screening recommendations; and approach to challenging viral hepatitis scenarios will be discussed.
