On September 14th, 2020, NKF New England will be holding the second annual NKF Konica Minolta Golf Classic at TPC Boston. With the course holding the 2020 Northern Trust FedExCup Playoff in August, our event will provide a unique opportunity to play where the pros do, while supporting the National Kidney Foundation’s lifesaving programs.
The tournament will feature great gifts and prizes from local and national sponsors, and the top-3 finishing teams in both the Gross and Handicap Index Divisions will qualify to compete in our National Finals held at the famed Pebble Beach Resorts in January 2021.
TPC Boston the award-winning golf course, which was originally designed by Arnold Palmer, is Massachusetts’ only PGA TOUR facility. In 2007, the course was Re-designed by celebrated golf course architect Gil Hanse, with PGA TOUR player Brad Faxon serving as a consultant. The result is a compelling par-72, 7,241-yard golf course with lush fairways, Bentgrass greens and 58 bunkers. Approximately 25 miles south of downtown Boston, the course, is beautifully nestled in Norton’s Great Woods.
TPC Boston and the PGA TOUR: TPC Boston has been the host of the PGA TOUR’s Dell Technologies Championship [formerly known as Deutsche Bank Championship] from 2003 to 2018. Bryson DeChambeau, an NKF ambassador, won the 2018 Dell Technologies Championship edging Justin Rose to secure his second, and back-to-back, FedEx Cup Playoff win. Other past winners include Rickie Fowler, Justin Thomas, Rory McIlroy, Phil Mickelson, Vijay Singh, and Tiger Woods.
