Join us for the Something to Laugh About! comedy event benefiting the National Kidney Foundation (NKF) in support of Kidney Awareness Month. The hilarious and family-friendly event will feature a stellar line up including host Ophira Eisenberg, comedian and host of NPR’s Ask Me, Leighann Lord, Dean Edwards and Jon Fisch!
There are two ways to join us for an evening full of laughs: in-person (60 available tickets), or virtually! The best part? 100% of all ticket sales and donations benefit the National Kidney Foundation.
Important Details About the Event:
- Gotham Comedy Club is an ADA accessible theatre;
- In-person tickets have a two drink minimum purchase required (alcoholic and/or non-alcoholic beverages);
- Doors open at 6:00pm, Show starts at 7:00pm
- Virtual streaming for ticket purchasers will be available up to 5 days after the event!

Ophira Eisenberg, Host
Well-loved in the NYC community, Ophira, is the host of NPR’s nationally syndicated comedy trivia show Ask Me Another (airing on 400+ stations). She has appeared on Comedy Central, This Week at The Comedy Cellar, Kevin Hart’s LOL Network, HBO’s Girls, Gotham Live, The Late Late Show, The Today Show, and VH- 1. The New York Times called her a skilled comedian and storyteller and she is one
of New York Magazine’s “Top 10 Comics that Funny People Find Funny.”
Leighann Lord
Leighann Lord is a veteran standup comedian who has appeared on HBO, Comedy Central, The View, and Showtime's Even More Funny Women of a Certain Age. She has performed for the troops in the Middle East and her Dry Bar comedy special has had over one million views. Leighann is a former co-host of the Emmy-nominated StarTalk with Neil de Grasse Tyson and she has received the AHA Humanist Arts Award. Leighann is the author of several humor books including: Dict Jokes and Real Women Do it Standing Up, available on Amazon.
Dean Edwards
Dean Edwards is an American actor, comedian and writer. Most notably recognized for his two year tenure as a cast member of NBC’s Saturday Night Live, Edwards is best known for his multitude of remarkable celebrity impressions that include Denzel Washington, Dave Chappelle, Jay-Z, Mo’Nique, Chris Rock, 50 Cent, and Eddie Murphy. Recently, Dean showcased his amazing talents in his first comedy special, Netflix’s Tiffany Haddish Presents: THEY READY, Season 2.
Jon Fisch
Jon Fisch is one of only a handful of comedians who has appeared on both The Late Show with David Letterman and The Late Show with Stephen Colbert. He was the host of the widely popular podcast In the Tank. With his current podcast Spiraling Up, Jon talks with people from the comedy world about handling daily struggles and digging themselves out of life’s major ruts. Sounds heavy but it’s funny too. You may recognize Jon from Comedy Central or NBC's Last Comic Standing 4 where he was the New York City Capital One Audience Favorite. Jon has performed at multiple comedy festivals including the HBO Comedy Arts Festival, the Great American Comedy Festival and Montreal's prestigious “Just for Laughs" Festival. Based in New York City, Jon can be seen regularly at the Comedy Cellar and Gotham Comedy Club.
