Training Specialist Elected National Kidney Foundation Vice Chairman
New York, NY (October 24, 1998) - Fred Herbert was elected by the National Kidney Foundation (NKF) trustees as vice chairman during their annual meeting held here today. Mr. Herbert enjoyed a career in corporate banking that spanned more than 30 years before moving to Ocala this past July where he is delivering leadership training on a national basis. In addition, Herbert and his wife, Penn, have affiliated with Foxfire Realty.
An active volunteer for the National Kidney Foundation since 1990, Mr. Herbert served as president of the foundation's Michigan affiliate and is currently chairman of NKF's Leadership Committee and a member of the Research Endowment Board. As vice chairman, he plans to focus on strengthening the overall performance of the foundation's 51 local affiliates and moving the organization's new restructuring initiative forward.
