New York, NY (March 14, 2014) – The National Kidney Foundation (NKF) will honor Lisa Cochrane, Senior Vice President of Marketing at Allstate Insurance Company, at NKF's seventh annual Springtime in New York benefit reception. The event will be held Thursday, April 10, at 6 p.m., in The Allen Room at Jazz at Lincoln Center in New York City.
Ms. Cochrane will be presented with the Chuck Fruit Award of Excellence, which is bestowed upon an executive whose professional achievements and personal qualities match the iconic example set by Chuck Fruit, who passed away in 2008 from kidney disease and its complications.
"We are proud to recognize Ms. Cochrane and Allstate for supporting the important work of the National Kidney Foundation," said Bruce Skyer, Chief Executive Officer at the National Kidney Foundation.
Under Ms. Cochrane's leadership, Allstate's advertising campaigns have won numerous awards. She was also named one of Cynopsis Media's "Most Intriguing People" of 2013. In 2012, Business Insider designated Ms. Cochrane one of the 29 Most Influential CMOs in the World, and in 2011, she was named U.S. Advertising Person of the Year by the New York Ad Club. Ms. Cochrane was also recognized by Working Mother Magazine and Advertising Women of New York as 2010 Working Mother of the Year.
She is on the Board of Directors of the Ad Council and the Association of National Advertisers, currently serving on the Government Relations Committee. She also serves on the National Board of the American Advertising Federation and the Board of Directors for the Chicago Park District Foundation.
The Springtime in New York committee is chaired by Daniel Donnelly of Donnelly Mechanical Corp. and co-chaired by William G. Dessoffy, Regional Managing Director, First Republic Bank and Board Chairman of the National Kidney Foundation serving Greater New York; Joseph Abruzzese, President, Advertising Sales at Discovery Communications; and Bill Cella, Senior Partner, The Cheyenne Group.
Keith Turner, President of Advertising Sales & Marketing at Univision Communications, will also be honored at the gala with the Visionary Leader Award for his pioneering advertising success and his dedication to the community.
