The holiday season is in full swing, and with it come lots of temptations… an abundance of sweet and savory foods at school and office parties, neighborhood and family gatherings and other celebrations. Holidays are a time to celebrate and treat yourself, however, that doesn’t always have to mean unhealthy food choices. With a little planning and smart food selections, you can enjoy the holiday festivities without the unwanted weight gain or other poor health impact. Remember to focus on eating healthy and getting enough physical activity along with lots of fun!

Below is a recipe for Holiday Eggnog:
Ingredients:
1 1/2 cups liquid non-dairy coffee creamer
1/2 cup frozen eggs or 1/2 cup liquid low–cholesterol egg substitute
2 tablespoons sugar
1 1/2 tablespoons vanilla
Nutmeg
Directions: Combine first 4 ingredients in a blender or beat with an electric mixer until well mixed. Chill thoroughly. Serve with a sprinkle of nutmeg.
