On September 23, 1990 we got a phone call that would change our lives forever. Our youngest son was in a bad accident and at the hospital, we were told that we should start thinking of giving organs. The whole family knew that we would have to because Leon had told many people that was something that he wanted to do. He had so much going for him. He was so kind to other people and did so much to help others. Shortly after we lost Leon, I was in church one day and cried all through the service. I thought that if I could just get a rose, I'd know that he was in heaven. Later that evening, my other son, not knowing what I had been thinking, went to the store and came back with a long stem rose. So, we knew he is at peace.
