Join us for the Something to Laugh About! comedy event curated to benefit the National Kidney Foundation (NKF) in support of Kidney Awareness Month. The hilarious and family-friendly event will feature a stellar line up including host Ophira Eisenberg, comedian and host of NPR’s Ask Me, Leighann Lord, and Amanda Nicastro and others!
There are two ways to join us for an evening full of laughs: in-person (60 available tickets), or virtually! The best part? 100% of all ticket sales and donations benefit the National Kidney Foundation.
Important Details About the Event:
- Gotham Comedy Club is an ADA accessible theatre;
- In-person tickets have a two drink minimum purchase required (alcoholic and/or non-alcoholic beverages);
- Doors open at 6:00pm, Show starts at 7:00pm
- Virtual streaming for ticket purchasers will be available up to 5 days after the event!

Ophira Eisenberg, Host
Well-loved in the NYC community, Ophira, is the host of NPR’s nationally syndicated comedy trivia show Ask Me Another (airing on 400+ stations). She has appeared on Comedy Central, This Week at The Comedy Cellar, Kevin Hart’s LOL Network, HBO’s Girls, Gotham Live, The Late Late Show, The Today Show, and VH- 1. The New York Times called her a skilled comedian and storyteller and she is one
of New York Magazine’s “Top 10 Comics that Funny People Find Funny.”

Leighann Lord
American comedian, writer, and actress. Her website url says it all: veryfunnylady.com She performs stand-up comedy, has appeared on Tough Crowd with Colin Quinn, and is a former co-host (with Neil deGrasse Tyson) of the Star Talk Radio podcast. As of April 2020, Lord became a co-host for Center for Inquiry's Point of Inquiry podcast. Her popular weekly humor blog, The Urban Erma, is the longest
running featured column on StageTimeMag.com. Leighann can be heard weekly on John Fugelsang's 'Tell Me Another" on SirisuXM radio (10,928 followers).

Amanda Nicastro
is a writer, comedian and actress living in New York City by way of Charlotte, NC. In 2014, Amanda donated a kidney for her sister Brenna in 2014 via a paired kidney exchange. It was a joyful decision that came easily to her and is still one of the most rewarding experiences of her life. It was also the basis for her “I’m Just Kidneying” which takes a whimsical look into the process of living kidney donation and
pokes holes into the idea of what it takes to be “hero material.”
