New Worker Award

Nicole Marshall, LCSW

Renal Social Worker, Kaiser

Nicole Marshall is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker currently working with Kaiser as a Renal Social Worker.  She has extensive experience in patient care, counseling, and case management. She holds a Master of Social Work degree from Louisville University and a Bachelor of Social Work degree from James Madison University.

Nicole discovered a passion for medical social work five years ago when she started as a Renal Social Worker at Davita. While there, she served as the Regional Point Social Worker and preceptor. Those roles helped her learn to be a better advocate not just for patients but other social workers as well.  She has a strong work ethic and believes that patience, kindness and creativity can make big impacts in patient’s lives.

Nicole also had the privilege of living overseas in Japan while finishing up her graduate program. While there she worked as a Victim Advocate with Family Advocacy Program at Camp Foster in Okinawa, Japan helping military families dealing with domestic abuse. Nicole currently lives in Northern Virginia and is inspired daily by her husband and two energetic children. In her free time she enjoys good wine, yoga, going on adventures with her family, and spoiling her pets.
